GIS Director - Jason Shellhammer   
                                                                                            

Jason is the GIS Director for Carbon County GIS. Jason administers the GIS program for Carbon County. His responsibilities include managing the GIS Public Services, GIS Data Warehouses, and the GIS office daily functions. The Director’s responsibilities also include creation and maintenance of GIS data pertinent to County functions and operations, authoring all relevant principal project data and efforts. He is also responsible for the coordination of local government mapping initiatives and projects, facilitating relationships across that spectrum.

Jason is a veteran of the US Air Force, and Pennsylvania Air National Guard. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education for Citizenship Education from Kutztown University. Jason started his career with the County of Carbon in 2014.

In his personal time Jason occasionally assists others with GIS Mapping. He also enjoys travel, dining, visiting local attractions, and fishing.
